«Askaneli» hotel restaurant

The 157-seat restaurant at the ASKANELI Hotel brings together breakfast service, wine tastings, dinner, and special events. The main challenge was to create a flexible space featuring a 12-metre-long buffet line. The centerpiece is a communal table inspired by the traditional Georgian sat͡snakheli — a trough used for crushing grapes. In the morning, it serves as a breakfast table; in the evening, it brings guests together around one shared table.
Warm wood, green marble, antique furniture, and aged mirrors create the atmosphere of a traditional Georgian restaurant reinterpreted for a contemporary setting. Wine displays showcase the winery’s collection, while the terrace features a bespoke ceramic mural that tells the story of ASKANELI through a whimsical, illustrative narrative.
