The challenge was to create a homey atmosphere in the trendy, densely built-up Patricks neighborhood. We wanted to create a place where people could come and have a bottle of wine, chat about something pleasant, and leave their daily routines and worries behind. We chose wine as the foundation of our design concept and elevated it to the status of a deity. At the same time, we aimed to create an environment that encouraged socializing and hanging out.

The task was to create a homey atmosphere in the trendy and densely built-up Patricks neighborhood. We wanted to take a bottle of wine off the shelf, sit down with a friend, and forget about our daily routines. Our goal was to combine two small rooms into a single logical bar space. We also needed to efficiently accommodate as many seats as possible, as well as a kitchen, bathroom, and technical areas, all within a 60-square-meter space.

We chose wine as the basis of our design concept and elevated it to the status of a deity. At the same time, we aimed to create an interior that encourages socializing and partying.

First of all, we turned the bar towards the entrance. This diagonal allowed us to place the kitchen and technical room, while maintaining the passage to the second hall. The geometry was emphasized by the slats on the ceiling.

We filled the place with appropriate attributes. Some of the tables are located in a kind of chapel - large metal mesh bottles. The very spirit of wine materialized in a bright art object, attracting attention and has already become the hallmark of the institution. The iridescent pillar of light represents the spirit of wine and joy.

The wine attributes include all the design elements: we filled the walls with shelves on which we placed the bottles. Above the bar, there is a cloud of wine glasses that shimmer with thousands of ceiling spotlights. Thanks to the carefully selected lighting and glass texture, we filled the small bar space with bright, sparkling light.

Our wine temple also has an altar, where instead of candles, you can add corks to a shared basket and watch it fill up as you come back again and again.

Another “chip” of the bar appeared spontaneously. When the floors were opened, a pit about half a meter deep was found. We came up with the idea of making a stylized wine cellar out of it. Several rows of wine bottles, lighting, and it is no longer clear how deep the cellar is and how rich the wine stocks of “Cork and Corkscrew” are.
